CITY & GUILDS-UK CERTIFIED ENGINEERING

BASIC ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

Designed to provide a broad introduction to essential practical skills in areas of work in construction and engineering. Suitable for anyone that wants to become an electrician or practitioners that want to improve their electrical skills.

OVERVIEW

  • LEVEL: Entry
  • TRAINING DURATION: 3 months (excl. on-job training)
  • CERTIFICATE VALIDITY: Lifetime

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  1. Identify metals and compare their properties
  2. Use hand tools and sheet metal cutting and folding equipment
  3. Carry out oxy-acetylene gas cutting and welding.
  4. Carry out earthling and bonding, check and adjust equipment/electrical systems.
  5. Carry out the general installation and testing of electrical systems.
  6. Interpret circuit and wiring diagrams.
  7. All candidates are adequately prepared in Health and Safety working practices to international standards of Highfield Awarding Body for compliance – HABC & Engineering Industry Training Board – ECITB before and during the training.

ENGINEERING IN ELECTRICAL

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  1. Working in engineering (engineering materials and information technology requirements
  2. Carrying out electrical and electronics assembly (preparing, building and checking)
  3. Producing and interpreting engineering drawings.
  4. All candidates are adequately prepared in Health and Safety working practices to international standards of Highfield Awarding Body for compliance – HABC & Engineering Industry Training Board – ECITB before and during the training
