Since 2016, TASC has been working with GIZ under the E4D/SOGA program to up-skill 220 candidates at an international level. The Youth Employment Enhancement Project (YEEP) is a 17 months’ project whose goal is to attain improved employability of craftsmen and women in the Albertine region in the Oil and Gas sector and related industries through targeted training towards international certification. The project was launched on 25th May 2017 & is currently running.

The key deliverables of the project include training and internally certifying 20 3G coded welders under the American Welding Society, training & certifying 50 in welding, Fabrication and Pipe work under City and Guilds certification, training & certifying 30 Electrical Engineering under City and Guilds certification & finally, one hundred twenty (120) candidates will be trained and certified in scaffolding erector and inspector courses in collaboration with industry players in exchange for the slots that will be given to us for industrial training for our students in actual companies.

We are pleased to announce that all activities are perfectly on track; for example, for 3G Welding: 20 learners have completed & are already certified under American Welding Society. World Food Programme has already placed: 23 of our learners for industrial, hands-on exposure. In a nutshell, we are on course to accomplish our mission as set in the beginning.
