All candidates are adequately prepared in Health and Safety working practices to international standards of Highfield Awarding Body for compliance – HABC & Engineering Industry Training Board – ECITB before and during the training.
LEVELS: 1G TO 4G (Plate Welding)
This course is ideal for welders seeking international certification/ coding and new entrants into the field who seek a career path in industry. The training is 90% practical and 10% theoretical confirming to the specifications and requirements of the certification bodies.
The candidates will gain competence in performing welding in a Flat (1G), Horizontal (2G), Vertical (3G) and Overhead (4G) positions using Shielded Metal Arc Welding and Tungsten Inert Gas Welding Processes with Plate thickness of 10mm using E7018 – low hydrogen and E6010, E6013 electrodes.

This course is ideal for welders seeking to upgrade their skills and acquire international certification. The training is 90% practical and 10% theoretical confirming to the specifications and requirements of the certification bodies.
The candidates will gain competence in performing welding in a Flat (1G), Horizontal (2G), Vertical (5G) and Welding at 45◦(6G) positions using Shielded Metal Arc Welding and Tungsten Inert Gas Welding Processes with Pipes of schedule 40 (6” 7.11mm thickness) using E7018 – low hydrogen and E6010, E6013 electrodes.

WELDING, FABRICATION & PIPEWORK
Designed to provide a broad introduction to essential practical skills in areas of work in construction and engineering. Suitable for anyone that wants to become a welder or practitioners that want to improve their welding skills.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
- Maintain safe working conditions
- Develop patterns, construct curves of intersection and surface developments
- Extract details from drawings and prepare working sketches.
- Carry out the inspection and testing of welds and identify possible causes of defects
- Carry out oxy-acetylene gas cutting and welding.
